New Level 7 Electrical Apprenticeships
The Department of Electronic Engineering at IT Tallaght are happy to announce the formation of a partnership with Limerick Institute of Technology to deliver the new Level 7 Electrical Apprenticeship in Industrial Electrical Engineering. IT Tallaght will deliver the Programme for applicants based in the Greater Dublin region. This new Apprenticeship Programme is specifically designed as a progression programme for Qualified Electricians who wish to upskill and to acquire advanced knowledge, competences in order to move into engineering roles in industry.
The successful graduates will be awarded a Level 7 Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) Degree in Industrial Electrical Engineering. This is a two year programme and was developed in collaboration with the Electrical, Engineering, Automation and Manufacturing Sectors who have identified a need for qualified personnel to address the skills gaps in these sectors. The programme involves an apprenticeship contract with an employer involving 70% of the time spent on the job, as well as two blocks of study at the Institute of Technology Tallaght.
