“MIDAS Ireland (Microelectronic Industry Design Association) recently announced the winners of its annual prizes for outstanding publications by postgraduate students in the area of microelectronic design. The winners were announced at the conference banquet of the 22nd IET Irish Signals and Systems Conference, Trinity College Dublin, 23-24th June, 2011, where they received winners certificates and prizes of €1,000.
The winner in the masters category is Mr. Christopher Quigley for his paper “Design of a Reconfigurable Load Pull System Using Novel, Digitally Controlled Reactances” which was presented at the IET Irish Signals and Systems Conference, June 2010. Christopher has recently completed his masters research at the Institute of Technology Tallaght (ITT Dublin), supervised by Mr. Brian Keogh.”

 

ITT Dublin Student wins IEEE MTTs Undergraduate Scholarship Award

We are delighted to announce that Shi Chen, who is a final year undergraduate student in ITT Dublin won this international student award from the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT).

This award is based on her final year project work in the Department of Electronic Engineering. The title of her submission to the competition is:
The Investigation and Optimization of Radio Frequency
Low Noise Amplifier Energy Efficiency

Shi Chen - ITT Dublin wins IEEE MTTs Undergraduate Scholarship AwardThe project addresses a particular energy efficiency problem of Radio Frequency Low Noise Amplifiers, with particular focus on 2.45GHz ZigBee radio receivers.
The award includes a $1500 USD scholarship and a travel reimbursement of $1000USD.
Shi Chen has been invited to a student’s award luncheon on Thursday June 5, 2014 in Tampa Bay, USA. We want to congratulate Shi Chen on winning this prestigious award.
